Aloha! Today marks the closing of doors that weren't working for me, and the opening of new doors in the direction of my goals and happiness :)
I quit my job two weeks ago and had my last night as a server. Kevin, the musician who plays at the bar, dedicated a song to me right before I left my shift; "The Rainbow Connection." My favorite co-worker and I danced to it, and it was a perfect ending to that chapter.
Two hours later, I found myself standing on top of a stool and a good friend's bar-b-que announcing to the guests that I would now embark on a journey to run around the whole Big Island. Starting on my birthday... in just over 2 weeks! Yup.
